Wow, did we have different takes on that article. I don’t think I thought about public funding when I wrote my post even a little.
On the whole, though, I find the cops around here to be pretty ineffectual anyway, so I wouldn’t mind seeing them all buffed up.
Went to 4GF for, like, 2 secs. on Gasparilla, and the place was full of fat cops. Gross.

Yeah. Seeing Fremont in the article just triggered my memory of the previous news item I saw about the city, especially because it was only a few days before. The dichotomy of the references struck me right away, and I couldn’t resist.
It occurs to me that your sister, who loves a man in uniform, should high-tail it to Fremont
As far as the main point: I don’t know that Tampa Bay is ever going to cultivate a sexier-than-thou image. South Beach is too (relatively) close.
