  1. Shall we say, “Cow Bizarre”? You cannot compare soccer to baseball to rugby to American football to roller derby, and decide who was the best shirt number! The Law of Apples and Oranges states conclusively that the different sports just can’t mix.

Well, the intent wasn’t to compare different sports; it was more to provide a look at the athletes/personalities who made enough of an impression that their numbers provided instant public identification. For many of the names listed, they transcended a single sport, and even transcended sports to become known in the greater popular culture.

    Again, it was very much a tongue-in-cheek undertaking, meant to provoke. Don’t take it too seriously!
