Urban mushing is what you do when you own a Siberian husky and there’s no snow around. It also helps if you live in Southern California.

I have an affection for huskies; they’re probably my favorite type of dog. When I lived in Florida, I always felt like they were displaced there, and probably miserable most of the time, since they’re bred for cold-weather climates. I’m not sure putting them to work in 90 degree weather is the best idea.

While I applaud the effort in trying to liven up the rather blase RSS icon, I’m afraid I can’t see myself adopting Pac-Man as the new symbol of syndicated Web content feeds.

But certainly, a videogaming site like Joystiq should be all over this — it neatly fits into that dedicated site theme. And to spur others to repurpose the classic game’s symbol for a new age of digital “feeding”, maybe Buckner and Garcia can be dug up from wherever, to lend vocal support.
