Something I’ve lately gotten wind of:

Just as a ring on the left hand tells the world that one lady is married, displaying a ring on the right hand signals that another woman is single — and indeed, available.

While I’ve hinted before that I focus an inordinate amount of attention on women’s ring fingers, I can’t say I’ve noticed this subtle dating-scene hand-signing. I can’t find any recent online buzz about this, either; a jewelry industry initiative to push dedicated single-gal bands from three years ago seemed to fizzle without notable impact.

One more thing to mentally track. Can’t they make this easier on us guys? Maybe with color-coded body markings?
