jackpot
Bizz-ang, baby. Just a couple of days after blogging all about them, Adagio Teas held up their end of the bargain. Adagio CTO Ilya Kreymerman confirmed that an ingenuiTEA set is on its way to my caffeine-craving clutches.

I’m very glad the process was so painless, unlike others’ (although, even granting the apparent miscommunication that played a role there, I’ll recognize that Zero Boss’ experience probably cleared the way for me).

I think I’ll be gifting the set to my office; that’s the main place where I tend to my tea habit anyway. Plus, there’s at least a couple of other people there who would make use of it (and thus be exposed to the Adagio brand — viral marketing spreads!).

streamin' consciousness
Had I stumbled upon this BlogSpot blog allegedly kept by Rosie O’Donnell, I’d have dismissed it as a hoax — and a thoroughly weird one, at that.

And the joke would have been on me, because O’Donnell has proudly proclaimed the stream of crazy-quilt meanderings to indeed be her property.

On the one hand, the chance to peer into the unfiltered mind of a celebrity is appreciated. On the other hand, sometimes it’s better not to look:

once skinny u
cannot imagine fat sex
ouch - that hurts
even with the giggle

feels like u r visiting
planet fattie
temporary visa
pointing at us…

and on a side note
the best thing about blogging
is not having to call your publicist
to talk to people
no interpreters
direct me

And on another side note, that loud bang you just heard is that referenced publicist shooting her/himself.

Or maybe it was O’Donnell’s career doing itself in, to avoid the slow excruciating demise this kookiness is inflicting. Perhaps it’s all self-inflicted — O’Donnell knows how critical public image is in the entertainment world, and this is as good a way as any to mar hers for good.

I kind of half-followed the courtroom mess that followed the collapse of Rosie Magazine. I didn’t realize it had pushed O’Donnell this far over the edge.

batter up!
Spring is right around the corner, and with it comes baseball.

But when you’re a yeti on the frozen tundra, you make do.

I think my favorite part is when the penguins actually let out a yelp of joy when your bat connects with them. Also, try to swing a tiny bit early — you won’t get much distance, but the penguin will wind up nosediving straight into the snow.

My best distance so far is about 320. Beat that!

Here’s a quickie quiz for this lazy Friday. Answer in the comments, and remember to include where you’re from — I’ll be interested to see the geographic tally:

Where do you shop: Super Market, or Grocery Store?
