Ogre — make that O’Gre — laments the lack of St. Patrick’s Day representin’ in the bonny blogosphere.

I could just point to the gorgeously green color scheme here and declare that, yes, every day at PopStat is St. Patty’s Day.

Not enough? Okay, here are more demonstrations, both off- and online:

- I’m wearing a green shirt (and have gotten a few compliments for it).

- I showered this morning with Irish Spring (the Aloe , which, since it’s not green, doesn’t seem quite as Irish — but close enough).

- At lunch (no Irish cuisine, sorry), I read all about a renewed interest among Irish-American students at Notre Dame’s Keough Institute for Irish Studies in learning the native tongue of their forebears (incidentally, this brought to mind that Gaelic, or Irish, is the world’s only recognized minority language that’s also, paradoxically, an official state language).

- For tonight, I’m tempted to load up the DVD player with Gangs of New York, easily my favorite Irish-themed historical drama. I may not have time, though; in which case…

- I’ll play Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s “Escape From Leprauchpolis” episode. I can find 11 minutes for that.

- Oh yeah, I suppose I’ll have a glass or two of whiskey (or whisky). I would go to an Irish pub for that, but I’ve already been to one this week, and that’s enough.

- And as a capper, I’ll stay up past St. Patrick’s Day and catch tonight’s episode of “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”.

That ought to cover me. Slainte!
