While other parts of the country are getting a more-than-healthy dose of a white Christmas, the Tampa Bay area is getting a decidedly grey one. There’s been complete cloud cover since early this morning, and it’s been raining non-stop since midmorning. Temperature is hovering at 60 degrees — not bad compared to the blizzarded areas, but too chill for me.

All in all, a rather foul scene outside my window.

But Christmas is Christmas. A Christmas Story is playing endlessly on the tube, and the sounds of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” soundtrack are wafting about. If there’s more proper holiday music, I don’t know what it is. And I don’t want to.
