SPOTLIT

I didn’t get into the big tbt* blog cover story, so as consolation, I get to be in the Times’ Blog Spotlight this week.
Score! Check it out yourself. (I wish there was a direct, archived permalink for that Spotlight spot.)
	I guess now I...

I'll take the consolation prize, gladly.

Odds of not actually meeting, despite proximity, are very good, actually. When I was in Times' Sports, I never met anyone on the other desks (of course, Sports is tucked away in the corner, and I was there mostly at night, but still).

I'm sure each others' faces are familiar. We'll probably end up saying, "Oh, so that's who you are!"

Hey gang. Glad most of you liked the cover story. I was bummed about not including Costa's blog, because it's certainly one of the best blogs out there, but we really do have a strict policy here about sticking to sources outside the corporation. But I have featured PopStat as the spotlight blog on the blogs directory this week, so hopefully that eases the pain somewhat. (It's true we're on the same floor here together, but have never met. What are the odds of that?)

But my moustache is real, along with the rest of my whiskers... Maybe a fake French accent next time.

I appreciate everyone's accolades! But let me emphasize: I'm not feeling snubbed. I'd have done the same thing if the roles were reversed, because it's the right thing to do.

Clearly this was a fake mustache moment.
You blew it man. When in doubt, ALWAYS use a fake mustache.

Well that explains it then...I was stunned to not see you included on the list. I've spent the last few weeks guessing who else would be on the list and figured you would be for sure. It makes sense, but still sucks. :(

Well, you're about to get banned from here, unless you keep it on topic and refrain from the gradeschool-level messageboard crap. I can ban you a lot easier than Rachel* can, and it's not going to be up for debate.

If you have so much time to hunt down Rachel*-related posts, start your own blog and let it all spew there.

Hey, for the right price I think you could have at least (ethically) gotten yourself a little ink. You should have slipped one of your fellow bloggers a twenty and I'm sure they would have cited you as one of their "favorite blogs".
