Population Statistic: Read. React. Repeat.

It seems that this site has been having a rash of prolonged server-side HTTP Error 500 outages lately. They seem to happen mostly in the midafternoon, for as long as an hour at a time.

The weird thing about them is that they appear to afflict only the front-end of the site. I can still get to the back-end with no problem.

Anyway, it’s an issue with 1 and 1, my hosting provider. I haven’t had any problems with them up until now, so I’m hoping it’s something they can fix quickly. If not, they’ll be hearing loads from me — one of my privileges as a paying customer.

Between that, and the lower level of posting here while I muddle through a busy period, it’s kind of a low ebb for PopStat. I offer apologies for the downtime so far, and for any more to come (which hopefully won’t be much). Things will be back to speed here shortly.

  1. […] Basically, I’m looking to get back to zero, i.e. the look and feel of this blog before the Error 500 blackouts began and subsequently escalated. Once there, I’ll move on to a slight redesign and move to a new hosting company. After that, I’ll hopefully not have to mess with the mechanics for a long while. - Costa Tsiokos, Wed 07/06/2005 04:40:26 PM Category: Bloggin’ | Permalink | […]
