I always thought “Hector” would be a nice middle name for Jesus. “Jesus Hector Christ.” Guess I’m wrong, eh?

Actually, it’s Howard, an old family name. (The Lord’s Prayer was mistranslated: it’s supposed to begin, “Our Father, Which art in Heaven, Howard be Thy name.”)

Then there’s the old biology joke. Since Jesus only had one human parent, the story goes, he only had one set of chromosomes. Hence, the “H” stands for “haploid.”
